The Meowtallica collection features four stunning artworks by @kt518.art and takes us to an alternate universe where cats rule the world and rock reigns supreme.
The final Meowtallica release comes from the Saburomaru Distillery in Japan, which is a rare find in the United States. Distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2025 as a 6-year-old, this is one of the few longest aged Saburomaru in existence.

This Saburmaru whisky is heavily peated. On the nose, first there is grilled bacon, bonfire, minerals, wet rocks, river banks, then vanilla seeds, lemon tart and rosemary.
The palate continues to be a gentle peaty experience, with pine needle, mild woodiness, stone fruits, apricots and ash.
The overall impression of this whisky is undoubtedly fruity and an amazingly refined spirit as a six years old whisky.

Saburomaru Distillery, tucked away in Toyama Prefecture, is a revived pioneer of peated Japanese whisky. Operated by Wakatsuru Shuzo since 1952, the distillery saw new life in 2016 under Takahiko Inagaki, whose vision—funded partly through crowdfunding—reignited its legacy with a focus on “Tradition and Innovation.”
Their custom-built ZEMON stills, made of cast bronze by local craftsmen, are a world first and designed to retain weight in the spirit. The result is a bold, smoky character that stands apart from other Japanese malts. Saburomaru matures its whisky in a range of casks, including local Mizunara oak barrels called “Sanshiro,” crafted in Toyama. Every element—from still to stave—is designed to express the spirit of the region.
